Dr. Yergen Kenzhegulov is a neurosurgeon in the Minimally Invasive Neurosurgery Department. He graduated with honors in 2013 from West Kazakhstan Marat Ospanov State Medical University with a degree in General Medicine, earning a Bachelor of Medicine. From 2013 to 2015, he completed an internship in Surgery at the same university. He then completed his residency in Neurosurgery, including pediatric neurosurgery, at National Center for Neurosurgery from 2015 to 2019. His main areas of expertise include spinal neurosurgery, surgery of intra- and extradural spinal cord tumors, metastatic spinal lesions, peripheral nerve and plexus injuries, congenital spine and spinal cord anomalies, and degenerative-dystrophic spine disorders (herniated discs, functional instability, spondylolisthesis, spinal canal stenosis). He is also the inventor of the first patent in Kazakhstan for the device and method of installing a personalized 3D vertebral body implant after total spondylectomy.
