Tuigynov Zhandos

Neurosurgeon in the Spinal Neurosurgery and Peripheral Nerve Pathology Department

Dr. Zhandos Tuygynov is a neurosurgeon in the Spinal Neurosurgery and Peripheral Nerve Pathology Department. He graduated with honors in 2013 from the Kazakh National Medical University named after S.D. Asfendiyarov with a degree in General Medicine (Bachelor of Medicine). From 2013 to 2015, he completed an internship in Surgery at the same university. He completed his residency at the National Center for Neurosurgery from 2015 to 2019 in Neurosurgery, including Pediatric Neurosurgery. His areas of expertise include spinal neurosurgery, surgery of intra- and extradural spinal cord tumors, metastatic lesions of the spine, injuries of peripheral nerves and nerve plexuses, congenital anomalies of the spine and spinal cord, and degenerative-dystrophic spinal disorders (hernias, functional instability, spondylolisthesis, spinal canal stenosis). He is the author of a patent in Kazakhstan: “Device for Installing a Custom 3D Vertebral Body Implant After Total Spondylectomy and Method of Its Implementation.”
