The unique operation has been conducted today at the National Center of Neurosurgery". Together with the American specialists Dirk Alander and Alisher Azamov, Kazakhstani doctors implanted an artificial intervertebral disc that does not restrict movement of the cervical spine. This is one of the modern methods of disk prosthetics that allows restoring the function of the spine which was lost as a result of the development of osteoarthritis. American colleagues shared their extensive experience; this practice has been used in the US for 20 years. Other types of prosthetic devices do not give a full recovery of disk function, but it should be noted that there are strict indications for its implantation.
