Participants of the X Asian Congress of Neurological Surgeons At a briefing in the Agency of Central Communications

Today participants of the X Asian Congress of Neurological Surgeons have given speeches at the briefing in the Agency of Central Communications under the President of the RK. Chief Executive Officer of "National Centre for Neurosurgery" JSC of the National Medical Holding Serik Akshulakov told about the aims of the Congress and about the neurosurgical service in our country. In addition, President of the Asian Congress of Neurological Surgeons Yoko Kato, President of the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies Peter Black, President of the International Institute of Neurosciences Madjid Samii, Director of the Burdenko Neurosurgery Institute Alexander Konovalov, Deputy Director of the Burdenko Neurosurgery Institute Alexander Potapov answered the questions of media representatives. As noted at the briefing Alexander Konovalov, neurosurgery in Kazakhstan nowadays has reached the international level. During his speech, the speaker shared his memories about the beginning of the Kazakh neurosurgery. "It was originated in Almaty and there were a few departments, from that time a long period has gone. Over the past six years there have been dramatic changes in the Kazakh neurosurgery. I am sure that the Centre complies with the international level and the most complex diseases can be treated there. This indicates a very rapid development of this specialty, and on the other side shows the international recognition of Kazakhstani neurosurgery", - said A. Konovalov.
