Astana hosts the 10th Asian Congress of Neurological Surgeons

Astana hosts the 10th Asian Congress of Neurological Surgeons from 9 to 12 September 2014 in the Rixos President Hotel organized by the Non-governmental organization "Kazakh Association of Neurosurgeons" and "National Centre for Neurosurgery" JSC of the National Medical Holding. "Asian Congress of Neurological Surgeons" was established in 1993 by Professor Tetsuo Kanno and first held in Japan. Subsequently, it was held in the capitals and major cities of the most rapidly developing Asian countries such as China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Turkey, and Pakistan. In 2008, in the Malaysian capital city Kuala Lumpur, the right to take the 10th anniversary Asian Congress of Neurological Surgeons was given to Kazakhstan with the preference of votes and taking into account the dynamic development, high achievements and recognition of our country in the international arena. Nowadays, Kazakhstan is the rapidly developing country with a huge potential which public policy is aimed at the continuous improvement of the quality of citizens life. Such an outstanding event in the social medical life is hosted by the Central Asian country in the CIS territory for the first time. The Congress is attended by more than 600 foreign experts from 50 countries. President of the Asian Congress of Neurological Surgeons Yoko Kato, President of the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies Peter Black, Honorary President of the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies, President of the International Institute of Neurosciences Madjid Samii, Honorary President of the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies Alexander Konovalov, Honorary President of the International Community of Neurosurgeons Shlomi Constantini and many other well-known experts of the international level came to Astana to participate in the Congress. This Congress has become an international dialogue platform for neurosurgeons not only from Asia, but also from Russia, Europe, Africa, and America. The motto of the Congress is "The unique science - a unique city. Let’s meet in the heart of Eurasia!"
