"National Centre for Neurosurgery" JSC was visited by guests from Lithuania

Today within the working trip under the program of implementation mentoring service in Kazakhstan, Latvian team of doctors visited the National Centre for neurosurgery". Delegation was led by the President of the Society of Orthopedics and Traumatology of the Republic of Lithuania, Professor Sanukas Kestutis, he came with combustiologist Dainius Gelezauskas, rehabilitation professional Romuldas Sinkevichus, neurosurgeon Ramunas Raugalas. The aim of visiting the medical and research institution which is the in-patient hospital for people from Astana and other regions of Kazakhstan was familiarization with the terms of the treatment of patients. Specialists of "Santariškės" clinic acquainted with the work of the Centre, and were pleasantly surprised that the Centre provides high quality neurosurgical care on the basis of advanced technology, international standards of quality of care and international management in this area. During the conversation with the doctors of the Centre Latvian doctors paid special attention to issues of innovative methods of treating patients. “It's not the secret that neurosurgery is one of the most knowledge-consumptive, high-technology and high-growth areas of medicine” said Professor Sanukas Kestutis. “In five years of work the doctors of your Center have implemented and applied in practice for more than 40 innovative treatments, this is a very good indicator stressed Sanukas Kestutis.
