Mentor from Austria renders mentoring service in the National Centre for Neurosurgery

From 7 to 18 April 2014, Head of Intraoperative Neurophysiology, Department of Neurosurgery, AKH Wien, Medical University of Vienna, the founder of the International Society of Intraoperative Neurophysiologists (ISIN), neurosurgeon specialist Dr. Klaus Novak is rendering mentoring services on the basis of the National Centre for Neurosurgery. The topic of the educational course is "Intraoperative neuromonitoring in neurosurgery". The use of the intraoperative neuromonitoring is the "gold standard" of modern neurosurgery, ensuring safe execution of neurosurgical operations of any complexity and reducing the risk of postoperative deficit. "National Centre for Neurosurgery" JSC acquired neuromonitoring system «NimEclipse», which is an innovative technology that makes it easier and convenient to control the integrity of nerves during surgery. In this regard, in addition to the educational courses for the staff of the Centre, Dr. Klaus Novak will help in installing the software for the optimal performance of the system.
