Neurosurgeon from Astana T. Kerimbayev held a master class in Uralsk

Head of the Department of Neurosurgery of the spinal neurosurgery and periphery nerve system of JSC "Republican Research Center for Neurosurgery", neurosurgeon of the highest category Talgat Kerimbayev, MD held a master class in the West Kazakhstan regional hospital as reported by our correspondent Elzhan Yeraly from Uralsk. According to his words, the West Kazakhstan regional hospital acquired modern equipment. Now it is necessary to improve professional skills of doctors. The first operation was performed on the cartilage cervical vertebra by the American system. This operation is performed only in Kazakhstan in the CIS. The method is to remove the cartilage to reduce the pressure on the spinal cord, and replace the cartilage with the implant. The second operation was performed on the vertebra displacement. Due to degenerative changes the vertebra is displaced and infringed the nerve. The implant provides resistance of the vertebra. Both operations were successful. Operations will continue depending on the capacity of the equipment. Republican Research Center for Neurosurgery invites the best foreign specialists to conduct workshops, seminars, meetings, and training courses. In the Center, created in 2008, has already implemented 40 innovations. The Centre hosted meetings of world neurosurgeons, the 20th Congress of Neurological Surgeons of the world. Now neurosurgeons of the Center spread the knowledge and skills in all regions of Kazakhstan to improve, in accordance with the mandate of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the overall level of care. Operations conducted in Uralsk T. Kerimbaev were attended by the regional hospital surgeons. In the future, such complex operations will be conducted there too.
