Participation in the 6th World Congress on Nursing Education and Health

      Delegates of the National Center for Neurosurgery took part in the 6th World Congress on Nursing Education and Health, which was held on November 14-15 in Rome, Italy.

     Altyn Zhumabayeva, Director of Nursing at the NCN, made a presentation at the Congress on the topic “Restructuring the Nursing Service in Kazakhstan: the Experience of the National Center for Neurosurgery” and presented the achievements in the formation and development of nursing service at the National Center for Neurosurgery for 14 years. It should be noted that since its foundation, the National Center for Neurosurgery has restructured the nursing service and optimized the work of nurses, introduced more than 50 nursing forms into the medical records of patients, developed and implemented more than 300 standard operating procedures, introduced a system of centralized preparation of medicines. It increased the efficiency of nurses and the quality of patient care. The report was very positively received by foreign colleagues and received positive feedback about the Kazakh nursing service.

      The Congress was attended by delegates from Europe, USA, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Japan, South Africa and other countries.

    As a result of the conference, an exchange of experience was made, contacts were established with foreign colleagues, new knowledge was gained on improving nursing service and nursing education.
