Neurosurgeons of the National center of neurosurgery together with the Russian colleagues have performed unique operation on backbone

Neurosurgeons of the National center of neurosurgery together with the chief neurosurgeon of JSC RZhD, professor Vadim Byvaltsev have performed unique operation on backbone with use of the latest technique – miniinvasive joint fixing of backbone. Operation is shown at development of spinal instability against lumbar osteochondrosis, disk hernias, shifts of backbone and other pathology. The essence of operation consists in carrying out stabilization of segment of backbone by installation of small implant in joint capsule. Safety of nervous structures is ensured by use of operative microscope. The method is low-invasive, the section makes no more than 1,5-2,0 cm, juxtaspinal muscles are not injured. "It is well-known that osteochondrosis of backbone is the most widespread disease, 80% of the population at least once felt dorsodynias in life. As a rule, he results in spinal instability and, as a result, to pains. Most often source of pains are "worn-out" joints of backbone. This operation by the miniinvasive isolated replacement of joint facet allows to solve all problems and, thus, to keep integrity of juxtaspinal muscles. Miniinvasive joint fixing of backbone is alternative of traditional transpedicular fixing when all vertebral segment is fixed and muscles are injured", - the manager of department of spinal neurosurgery and pathology of peripheral nervous system of the National center of neurosurgery Talgat Kerimbayev speaks. "Within interstate scientific and practical cooperation 5 miniinvasive operations on backbone with use of new technique have been performed. Within visit lectures have been given, stories of diseases of different patients are discussed, treatment tactics is chosen, new materials for carrying out such operations are brought. This technique is the innovation and has been developed a few years ago by leading company of the USA in this area. Today such operations were performed only in our clinic, in some centers of Europe and Singapore, and now and in Kazakhstan. Estimating equipment of the National center of neurosurgery all necessary modern equipment and high professionalism of the Kazakhstan neurosurgeons, carrying out these operations will not be further problem", - the chief neurosurgeon of JSC RZhD Vadim Byvaltsev summarized. Use of this hi-tech operation will allow to activate in the early postoperative period of the patient and to return it in full-fledged life.
