The state award — the Order of “Qurmet” ("Respect") — to Dr. Gauhar Ibatova

On the eve of Medical Worker’s Day, the Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, presented the state award — the Order of “Qurmet” ("Respect") — to Dr. Gauhar Ibatova, neurologist of the Pediatric Neurosurgery Department.

The award ceremony took place on June 13 at the Ak Orda Presidential Palace.

Gauhar Sultankhanovna Ibatova is a neurologist, epileptologist, neurophysiologist, and professor at the National Center for Neurosurgery. She has 22 years of clinical experience and holds a Candidate of Medical Sciences degree. She is a member of the teaching staff of the Department of Neurosurgery and Neuropathology at the National Center for Neurosurgery.

In 2000, she graduated from Kazakh State Medical University with a degree in Pediatrics and obtained the qualification of a general pediatric practitioner. In 2008, she defended her PhD thesis titled “Clinical and Functional Features of Stroke in Children.” She is a recipient of the “Excellence in Healthcare” medal and holds a specialist certificate in pediatric neurology. She is proficient in EEG and intraoperative neuromonitoring techniques.

Her main areas of expertise include central nervous system pathologies and the surgical treatment of epilepsy.

The management and staff of the National Center for Neurosurgery congratulate Dr. Gauhar Ibatova on this high state honor and wish her well-being, good health, and continued professional success.
