Successful accreditation of Joint Commission International (JCI)
Friday, 18 Апрель 2025
From March 17 to 20, 2025, the National Center for Neurosurgery underwent another audit for compliance with Joint Commission International (JCI) standards — one of the world’s most authoritative international systems for evaluating healthcare quality and patient safety.Over four days, independent experts from the United States conducted a comprehensive review of the Center’s operations — from physicians’ and nursing practices to administrative and technical services. The audit team included Sharon Coulter James (team leader), Patricia O’Shea (medical practice expert), and Ali Naffaa (nursing expert).
Following the audit, the Center confirmed its high standards of quality and patient safety — without a single remark. On March 31, the Center was officially awarded ACCREDITED status, marking its fifth successful accreditation.
The National Center for Neurosurgery first received JCI accreditation in 2013 and has consistently reaffirmed its compliance with international standards in 2016, 2019, 2021, and now in 2025.
This accreditation is further proof that citizens of Kazakhstan can receive world-class medical care without leaving their country.
