Neurorehabilitation Department
The Neurorehabilitation Department provides specialized, restorative treatment to patients with neurosurgical pathology: consequences of severe craniocerebral trauma, consequences of spinal cord injury and injury to the peripheral nervous system, as well as after neurosurgical interventions. Priority hospitalization in the Neurorehabilitation Department applies to patients after surgery in the conditions of JSC "NCN". Restorative treatment is intended for the adult population of Kazakhstan.
The department opened in June 2008 for 32 beds. The staff of the department includes experienced doctors: neuropathologists-rehabilitation specialists, speech therapists, a psychologist, a doctor of therapeutic exercise, an acupuncture therapist, specially trained mid-level and junior medical personnel. Patients are provided with comfortable conditions in double wards.
The complex of restorative treatment includes:
- group and individual lessons with exercise therapy instructors
- mechanotherapy;
- sessions with a psychologist;
- sessions in a sensory room;
- ART therapy;
- sessions with a speech therapist for speech disorders;
- acupuncture;
- physiotherapy (magnet therapy, laser therapy, electrical stimulation, hydromassage, pearl baths, 4-chamber galvanization, 4-chamber jet contrast bath, Charcot shower, circular shower, etc.);
- massage;
- hydrokinesitherapy;
- medication.
This complex of medical measures is aimed at full or partial restoration of impaired functions, self-care training, restoration of work activity. The peculiarity of the work of the neurorehabilitation department is an individual approach to the preparation and implementation of the rehabilitation program for the treatment of each patient, high qualification and friendly attitude of the staff.
